The word “Boucherouite” comes from the Arabic word for “scraps”. These fascinating rugs are made from recycled fabrics. Thousands of scraps of fabric materials such as recycled clothes, cotton, nylon, plain or patterned, and wool are hand-knotted/woven into breath-taking contemporary art works / rugs of great authenticity and aesthetic value.
