HOW TO DECORATE YOUR BEDROOM BOHO STYLE

Is there anything more beautiful, anything more heavenly, than falling into bed at the end of the day? We don’t think there is. Let alone the joys of a midday siesta.
Your bedroom is not just a place to sleep but more than that. Ideally, it should be your personal sanctuary and a haven of tranquility where you can relax. And nothing says relaxation like the luxurious layers and textures of a dreamy boho bedroom.

  1. WHAT IS BOHO STYLE?
With its roots in Eastern European bohemia, boho has seen many reinterpretations. After a major resurgence in the 60s and 70s, followed by a short hiatus in the 80s and 90s, boho has recently made a spectacular comeback.
And it seems that this time, boho is here to stay. Boho style encompasses everything from the cool Californian vibe currently on Instagram, to the carefree boho approach we’ve seen from artists and vapers displaying all the treasures they’ve collected on their travels, to a modern bohemian approach with Moroccan influences. boho is a style that anyone can incorporate into their interiors.
In bedrooms, boho tends to be less hectic and comes across as the embodiment of a more muted style. Read on to see how it’s done.
  2. QUILTING DELIGHTS
When it comes to creating a relaxing bedroom, soft tones are the most soothing. The best way to start a happy boho bedroom is with neutral bedding and duvets.
This gives you the freedom to add color by arranging bright pillows and blankets to add a splash of color to your bedroom. And more good news: you can never have too many boho-style bedspreads or cushions.
  3. DON’T FORGET THE HEADBOARD.
Textiles aren’t the only ones responsible for creating those all-important layers. Adding pieces like a chair or bench not only gives you a place to relax but also adds character and depth to the room.
  4. APPRECIATE YOUR TREASURES
Boho Style is about showing off your treasures, but you probably don’t want to see everything you’ve collected on your table in your bedroom first thing in the morning.
Tidy up your collection to avoid clutter and add a few accents to make it feel like home. A candle, a flower and maybe a few books are the perfect pairing for your most prized possessions.
  5. OPTIONS
If your bed doesn’t have a headboard, you can add a hanging tapestry to add visual interest. Choosing decorative mirrors is another option to create a subtle incarnation of the familiar “more is more” look, all vintage but effortless.
  6. THE BED
Wooden furniture is vital in a boho bedroom, and your bed is a great chance to use some of this raw material essential.
Rattan and rope dividers are perfect for an opulent boho bedroom. Whether you choose a bed with a wild, organic shape or something grandiose is entirely up to you, and that’s the beauty of boho. Dream softly.
  7. BOHO RATTAN
A whimsical vintage-style rattan headboard sets the mood in the cozy boho bedroom by K Shan Design. An eclectic collection of flea market craftwork, a gleaming brass reading lamp, sleek layered bedding and a mid-century modern bedside table complete this feel-good room.
  8. BLACK AND WHITE BOHO
The warm and relaxing bohemian guest room by K Shan Design features black and white fabrics with different patterns, a black and cream vintage dresser, a vintage basket lamp, a rust-colored cushion as a surprise element, colorful artwork and a whimsical metal arrow on the wall above the bed.

  9. VINTAGE BOHO CAMPER
It all starts with a base of clean, white walls and warm, mid-tone wood floors generously covered in soft, neutral fabrics: a blend of smooth navy linen and white stripes; a mixture of leather and Moroccan cushions; a cozy fleece blanket; a woven basket; hats of straw and bags hanging on the wall.
  10. SIMPLY BOHEMIAN
